Is residential golf green construction expensive?
How long does it take to install a synthetic golf green or other synthetic turf product?
The time it takes to install a synthetic green product depends on the size and complexity of the project, landscaping requirements and weather conditions. Most residential projects are completed within a day or two. More complicated installations will take longer.
What are the advantages of investing in a Backyard Golf Green or a synthetic lawn?
The advantages of investing in synthetic lawn turf are many. First, our lawn turf is engineered to project the lush green color and softness of natural grass year round. Second, maintenance is minimal, you no longer have to mow, fertilize or water your yard. Lastly, the cost factor is significant, with synthetic turf, you can eliminate the cost of irrigation, mowing, trimming and fertilizing.
How many sizes and shapes of golf greens do you offer?
Minimum project size is typically 250 square feet but can and often are many thousand sq ft so in other words the sky is the limit! Each of our golf greens is custom designed for each client and vary in size and shape. It is important to note that we do not take a “cookie-cutter” approach to designing and installing golf greens. We know this is a major investment and we will work closely with you to design a custom golf green that will give you years of enjoyment while improving your putting and chipping.
Is a Backyard Golf Green resistant to weather?
In a word, yes. Winterization is basically removal of the flag sticks and covering the cups to prevent snow/moisture/debris from getting in. If you prefer, putting a tarp over the green will make spring clean up easier and quicker, since you would only have to clean off your tarp and not your green. Periodic maintenance can be done with a leaf blower and garden hose to wash away any bird/animal waste. A power washer accelerates the washing process.
Does a Backyard Golf Green play like a natural grass green?
Just like a real grass green. True ball roll. Stimps at 9-10. Subtle breaks and undulations, as well as level putts. Receives chip shots and shorter pitches shots exactly like a bent grass green. If you have soft enough hands, you can even make your chips and short pitches check up. All this without the need of a mower, sprinkler system, fertilizer and all the work that goes with it.
